For Parents

Children's Privacy

FastChomp is built for families. We believe parents should understand what information is collected about their children, why it is collected, and how it is used.

Who operates FastChomp

FastChomp is operated by Tropical Learning LLC.

Parents may contact us about children's privacy at privacy@fastchomp.app.

Parents are in control

Student profiles are created and managed through a parent account. FastChomp is designed so that parents can manage their children's access and view their learning progress.

We require a parent or legal guardian to complete our consent process before activating a student profile. The parent must take an affirmative confirmation step. We may process limited information needed to operate and secure the consent process.

Opening the email link does not automatically provide consent. The parent must review this Children's Privacy Notice, actively select an initially unchecked consent checkbox, and click the confirmation button. FastChomp records the date, version, and method of the consent.

Parents can withdraw consent through their FastChomp account. After withdrawal, student profiles associated with that account cannot sign in or continue authenticated activities unless valid parental consent is provided again. Parents can also request deletion of their children's information as explained below.

Information associated with a student

Depending on the features used, FastChomp may maintain limited information associated with a student profile, including:

  • First name or nickname.
  • Student username.
  • Grade level.
  • Avatar or profile preferences.
  • Student authentication credentials.
  • Practice sessions and answers.
  • Accuracy and learning progress.
  • Points and streaks.
  • Badges and achievements.
  • Rewards and reward activity.
  • Technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, browser or device information, and similar identifiers.

FastChomp is designed to limit the information collected about children to information reasonably necessary to provide and protect the service.

Student accounts are created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. FastChomp does not require children to provide a personal email address, telephone number, or home address. The platform does not offer public profiles, messaging, chat, social networking, or photo-sharing features.

Why we use this information

Student information is used to provide math practice and other learning features, remember progress, select appropriate practice, calculate results, award points and achievements, manage rewards, and provide parents with information about their child's progress.

Technical information may also be used as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, protect, and secure FastChomp.

Advertising and selling information

We do not sell children's personal information.

We do not use children's personal information for targeted advertising.

Service providers

FastChomp uses third-party service providers to host, maintain, secure, and operate the platform, deliver emails, and monitor technical errors. Depending on their role, providers may process limited student-related or technical information only as necessary to perform these services.

We do not authorize service providers to use children's personal information for their own advertising purposes. Information about operators that collect or maintain children's personal information through FastChomp will be provided as required by applicable law.

Cookies and similar technologies

FastChomp uses cookies and similar technologies as necessary for authentication, session management, security, and essential platform functionality.

Limited technical information may also be processed to detect errors, troubleshoot issues, and maintain service reliability. We do not use children's personal information for targeted advertising.

FastChomp may use cookie-free website traffic analytics on public and parent-facing pages to measure visitor counts, referral sources, and approximate geographic location, such as city and country. This measurement does not use analytics cookies or precise GPS location.

This website traffic measurement is not enabled on student-facing pages. We do not intentionally send student names, account identifiers, learning responses, progress information, or other student personal information to website analytics providers.

Separately, FastChomp may use optional Google Analytics 4 on public and parent-facing pages only after the visitor accepts analytics cookies. Google Analytics is not enabled on student-facing pages.

Consent to optional website analytics is separate from the parental consent required to activate a student profile. Declining optional analytics cookies does not prevent families from using FastChomp.

Parental rights

A parent or legal guardian may:

  • Review personal information maintained about their child.
  • Request correction of information associated with their child.
  • Delete their child's personal information.
  • Refuse further collection or use of their child's personal information.

Parents can manage their children's profiles through their FastChomp account. To delete a student profile and its associated learning data, sign in and go to Settings → Students, subject to information we must retain under applicable law.

Parents may also withdraw parental consent through their account settings. After withdrawal, associated student profiles cannot access FastChomp unless valid consent is provided again.

For other privacy requests, parents may contact privacy@fastchomp.app. We may take reasonable steps to verify that the person making the request is the child's parent or legal guardian before providing access to, changing, or deleting information.

Data retention

We retain student profile information and learning records while the parent maintains the student profile and the information is reasonably necessary to provide FastChomp's educational features.

Parents can delete a student profile through Settings → Students in their FastChomp account. When a student profile is deleted, its associated information, including practice history, learning progress, achievements, and rewards activity, is removed from our active application database.

Limited technical records, backup copies, and parental consent records may be retained for separate, limited periods when reasonably necessary for security, service recovery, legal compliance, or legal claims. Such records are subject to applicable retention and deletion procedures.

We do not retain children's personal information indefinitely or for unrelated purposes. We delete information when it is no longer reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless retention is otherwise permitted or required by law.

Security

FastChomp uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect children's personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or loss. However, no online service can guarantee complete security.

Changes to children's privacy practices

If we make material changes to how children's personal information is collected, used, or disclosed, we will update this notice and take additional steps, including obtaining new parental consent when required.
